Contoh Soal IELTS READING yang Wajib Kamu Ketahui !

Siapa teman-teman disini sedang dalam persiapan ujian akhir sekolah, ujian nasional ataupun ujian lainnya? Jika kalian sudah berada di jenjang SMA, tes membaca atau Reading Test pasti sudah tidak asing lagi ya. Tentu saja tidak hanya reading skill, terdapat tiga kemampuan laiinya yakni mendengarkan (listening), menulis(writing) dan berbicara (speaking). Tetapi kali ini kami akan secara khusus membahas contoh soal IELTS Reading supaya kalian dapat mempersiapkan diri menghadapi test membaca ini. Terutama untuk kalian yang sedang mencari tahu seperti apa test yang digunakan untuk persyaratan kuliah d luar negeri.

Sebelum melihat soal-soal secara detail, kalian harus tahu jika IELTS Reading test memiliki 40 pertanyaan yang berisi beragam tipe-tipe pertanyaan yang berfungsi mengetahui kemampuan membaca peserta tes. Didalamnya, tes ini menyertakan tiga teks panjang dengan jenis teks yang berbeda, dari deskripsi dan faktual,sampai diskursif dan analitikal dimana mereka berasal dari buku, jurnal, majalah dan koran. Karena sumber-sumber ini sudah diseleksi bagi pembaca non spesialis, jadi passages tersebut sudah sesuai untuk digunakan sebagai salah satu alat test masuk universitas atau pendaftaran yang bersifat profesional lainnya.

JENIS DAN CONTOH SOAL IELTS READING

Task type 1 – Pilihan Ganda (Multiple choice Questions)

Peserta memilih jawaban yang tepat dari empat pilihan (A, B, C or D) atau dua jawaban di lima pilihan (A, B, C, D or E), atau tiga jawaban yang tepat dari tujuh pilihan (A, B, C, D, E, F or G).

Task type 2 – Mengidentifikasi Informasi (Identifying information) Soal IELTS reading

Peserta tes akan memperoleh beberapa pernyataan dan diminta untuk menentukan apakah kalimat tersebut ‘TRUE’ (benar), ‘FALSE’ (salah) or ‘NOT GIVEN’ (ide tidak tertulis di teks)

Do the following statements agree with the information given in Reading Passage 2?

In boxes 1-3 on your answer sheet, write

TRUE if the statement agrees with the information
FALSE if the statement contradicts the information
NOT GIVEN if there is no information on this

Task Type 3 – Mencocokan ide gagasan (Matching headings)

Pada jenis pertanyaan ini peserta menganalisis dan menemukan ide pokok mana yang paling cocok dengan isi paragraf dan soal yang tersedia berdasarkan urutan paragraf pada teks. Untuk itu, peserta harus menemukan ide utama (heading) dalam tiap paragraf berdasarkan pilihan yang tersedia.

Peserta tes melengkapi kalimat dengan informasi yang diperoleh dari teks. Peserta harus berhati-hati dalam mengisi jawaban karena instruksi yang diberikan pada tipe soal yang serupa bisa saja berbeda.
